Best home base in Europe for us is the Netherlands.

With the option to live anywhere, it is nearly impossible to select and commit to one country.  If you’re a nomadic parent, you know exactly what I mean.  Why stay here, when I can go there?  While aimlessly bouncing around from here to there is indeed fun, it is not what we feel is best for our kids.  They need a particular spot in the world, one they can identify as their own.
